EMT PRE-EMPLOYMENT SKILLS
This course is designed for newly certified EMT’s starting their career in pre-hospital emergency care.
It is custom designed to achieve two main goals: to improve the candidate’s appeal to high-demand employers, and to bridge the skills gap between simple competence and real-world readiness. Students will increase their employability with interactive instruction for the NREMT written exam, the ambulance driver’s license exam, as well as the interview and hiring process. Through practice, students will develop important operational skills such as radio operation, mapping and routing, and assisting ALS (paramedic) providers.
16 reality-based training simulations are embedded throughout the course that continually shift the emphasis from individual EMT performance to a team-based approach. The course culminates in dramatic and contextual scenarios where a team of EMS professionals is entirely lead by the student.
This course comes with a course completion certificate, 2019 San Diego County protocol book, interactive course resource book, and 16-hours of continuing education units.
