The Commercial Diving School is located in San Diego, CA. The program is 8 months long, Monday through Thursday from 7am - 4pm. Our students train in state of the art classrooms, a 44,000 gallon Dive Tank, the Waterfront Campus located at the Tenth Avenue Terminal Pier located on Coronado Bay, and at-sea onboard a 67 foot dive vessel.
The first two months are spent in the classroom learning about the commercial diving industry, diving physics, the medical aspects of diving, and recompression chambers. Then you will move to the dive tank where you will spend an entire month training with different dive helmets, dive suits, underwater tools and procedures, and basic underwater construction.
Upon completion of the third month of training, you move to the Waterfront Campus and spend 3 months learning how to operate in a realistic underwater environment. You will complete underwater projects, work with hydraulic tools, and experience the challenges of working in conditions of limited visibility on the bottom of the Coronado Bay.
